September 2024 Update
Hello Everyone.
September has been very busy for the MenzShed with lots happening behind the scene as well as a huge amount of work been carried out tirelessly by the many Community MenzShed members/volunteers in the refit-out of the old Dairy Factory building.
We have had a new concrete floor laid on top of the old floor by GDK Contracting. Work on the outside walls has been started to cover and fix rotting boards. The inside walls have been relined and are about to be painted. The new kitchen area inside the shed has been framed up. New wiring has been added.
Those who have been giving up your time to clean, nail, drive, hammer, paint, etc we say a big thanks to you wonderful volunteers. We haven't been able to get where we are now with out your time, energy and commitment.
We have had two visitors to the MenzShed in recent weeks. First to visit was the Waipa District Mayor Susan O'Regan who came and checked out the progress being made and this week we had National MP Louise Upton coming along to give her tick of approval on the progress being made.
